Terms of Service

Last updated: August 5, 2026

1. The service

CrewAssign provides workforce scheduling software for construction businesses: scheduling crews to job sites, tracking tasks, materials, equipment, permits and inspections, recording worked time, and producing estimates and invoices. It is provided as a hosted service accessed through web applications and mobile apps for iOS and Android.

2. Accounts and eligibility

CrewAssign is intended for business use by people aged 16 or over. Accounts are created either by a company administrator or through company signup. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity performed under your account.

Each company is a separate tenant. A company administrator can create, deactivate and manage the accounts of workers in their company, and can see the work records associated with them.

3. Who owns the data

Your company’s data remains your company’s. Content entered into CrewAssign — job sites, schedules, time entries, photographs, documents, estimates and invoices — belongs to the customer company. CrewAssign is granted only the rights needed to host, process, back up and display that content in order to operate the service.

We do not use customer content to train machine learning models and do not sell it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, third-party infrastructure faults and factors beyond our control can cause downtime. We may add, change or remove features; if a change materially reduces functionality your company relies on, we will give administrators reasonable notice.

Requires legal review: whether any uptime commitment or service credit is offered, and the notice period for material changes.

6. Fees

Requires legal review and a commercial decision: pricing, billing cycle, payment terms, taxes, late payment, renewal and refund policy. No payment terms are stated here because none have been set.

7. Ending an account

A worker may request deletion of their own account from within the app. Because work records belong to the employing company and may be records the company is required to retain, a deletion request begins a review of up to 30 days rather than removing records instantly. Every request is recorded in an audit log.

A company may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, or where continued operation would be unlawful.

Requires legal review: notice periods for termination, data export rights and format on exit, and how long data is retained after an account closes.

8. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Third-party services

The service runs on Amazon Web Services and uses Amazon SES for email, Amazon SNS for SMS, Apple Push Notification service for iOS notifications, and Firebase Cloud Messaging for Android notifications. Your use of the mobile apps is also subject to Apple’s terms for the App Store and Google’s terms for Google Play.

10. Warranties and liability

Requires legal review — deliberately not drafted here. Warranty disclaimers, limitation and exclusion of liability, liability caps, and indemnities have material legal consequences and must be written or approved by counsel for the correct jurisdiction and entity. Nothing in this section should be relied upon until that has happened.

11. Governing law and disputes

Requires legal review — deliberately not drafted here. Governing law, venue, and whether disputes go to arbitration are decisions for counsel and the operating entity.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified to company administrators, and the date above will be updated. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
